Obama's Musical Cabinet Chairs

I Guess Moving Chairs Around and Lobbyists in the White House was not Such a Bad Idea

By Albert N. Milliron, Editor, Politisite.com, Iron Mill Interactive Media, Inc

This writer followed Barack Obama around the campaign trail with teleprompter in toe throughout the southern United States. During that time, three major themes rang out from his podiums” Regarding John McCain as a presidential candidate, “Washington is broken and moving chairs around (making McCain President) would not be the answer. Washington needed new blood and John nor other congressman would fit the bill.

The other major theme was that Lobbyist had destroyed the power of the individual citizens power in the electorate process. Lobbyist Obama, said would have no part in his Administration.

He related that he would not return to the failed policies of the Bush Administration. Obama had a plan and it didn't include Bushes economic policies. Trickle down economics did not work and Obama would allow the Bush Error Tax cuts to expire. He added that ninety-five percent of Americans would see a tax cut in their pay checks.

He told onlookers that on every bill that was presented in congress that they would be placed on the Internet for five days, so the American people could view what the Congress has adopted. He then related they would be free of pork Barrel spending as he would go line by line on each legislation and would veto legislation that contained pork and special interest spending. He committed to open and transparent government and no more secrecy.

One additional theme he emphasized on the campaign trail was that he would be bipartisan in his approach to solve the countries problems. So far President Obama has not consulted with Republicans but has rather pushed his political agenda from the left. When the TARP program was presented there were no House Republicans that voted for the measure because the bill was not read, nor posted on the Internet, and had nearly 9000 earmarks that we included in the stimulus package.

Most of those measures were pay offs to the left that had no place in a package that was designed to stimulate the economy. Here are some of where your stimulus money will go:

  1. 4 billion for community activist programs such as ACORN,

  2. 400 million for global warming (oh I mean Climate Change) research,

  3. 50 million for National Endowment of the Arts,

  4. 2.4 billion to demonstrate “carbon capture and sequestration technologies”

  5. 50 million in grants to fund “arts projects and activities in the non-profit arts sector

  6. 8 billion for high-speed railway (including an earmark for an Los Angeles to Las Vegas)

  7. A water park in Miami Florida

  8. Bringing in Tons of Sand to Sandy Hook, NJ

  9. Then the most stimulating of them all, The National Institutes of Health (NIH) will study the link between drinking and having sex among homosexuals in Argentina.

The additional reason that there was not bipartisan support is that the President promised that the bill will have ample time for each Member to read the provision and debate it. Since it was toughed as a crisis legislation there could b no time for legislators to actually read the provisions in the 1073 page bill. Consequently the bill was not posted on the Internet, it was available for less then 25 hours to read a bill that had thousands of pages and was passed without congressman actually reading the legislation. What happened then? Executives from AIG had provisions for million dollar bonuses that no congressman save Senator Dodd and the Treasury Secretary had a clue that those bonus would be paid out under previous agreements. When the provisions of the AIG Bonus came to the public eye, congressman threw their arms up casting blame on AIG Executives simply because their Didn't read their own bill. The bottom line here is the Wall Street Journals annalists estimated that just 12% of the package could be considered stimulus.

So what happened in Obama's first weeks as President. He moves a few chairs around. He tapped Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. Then he adds former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack, a presidential candidate, as The Secretary of U.S. Department of Agriculture. Then there is Attorney General Eric Holder who served as Deputy Attorney General in the Clinton Administration. Another Political Insider Governor Richardson had to withdraw due to a fell “Play for play” scandal. The list continues with Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Senator Ken Salazar (D-CO) Obama's choice for secretary of Interior. And to sum up it all up without pointing out the entire Washington “outsider” cabinet, Timothy Geithner who is Obama's choice to head the Treasury which include the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Geithner was the chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York since 2003. He is the brain our country could not do without due to the bank crisis that was doomed to lead to catastrophe. A cabinet member so good that he blamed misunderstanding tax software program Turbo-Tax, designed for a teenager to complete his taxes, and failed to pay hundreds of thousand of dollars of your tax money.

Washington is broke Obama related to crowds across the country and moving chairs around was not the answer. New blood was needed to fix Washington. So he hired Washington insiders for his cabinet members and half of Clinton's former staff.

I don't see the “Change we can believe in” here. In fact it looks more like moving chairs around the deck of the Titanic following our economic iceberg. Politics as usual is more the word.

Photo of "torture" as Example of Stess Positions is Fake

Andrew Sullivan in His article "Karl Rove's Definition Of "Torture" uses a photo of a man between two litters as an example of torture.  Well Andrew Sullivan didn't due proper research.  The photo is really an example of how a hostile combative military member is withstrained in a sitution where psychiatric drugs or a 4 point withstaints are not readaly available to a medic or Behavirial Science Specialist.  This is not an example of touture at all.  If it were, then this in an example of something being called tourture that are often utilized by the U.S. Military on its own people.  Chemical CS gas is used in training as well on US Soldiers.  Many eleite soldiers have been water boarded.  The bottom line here is that while at the White House Coorspondants Dinner comidian Sykes wishs that Rush Limbaugh would die an Awful death but God forbid we use low level intergrigation to gather vital information that would possibly save thousands of lives.

Agabuse

It is worth remembering given the current state of the debate. Karl Rove has been aggressively arguing that nothing that the Bush administration did could be construed as torture, not even the Khmer Rouge technique of water-boarding, let alone the long-term sleep deprivation, stress positions, hypothermia, forced nudity, hooding, dietary manipulation, sensory deprivation and all the other "EIT"s his president authorized.

Edwards Campaign Knew About Affair, Would Sabotage Nomination

I've talked to a lot of former Edwards staffers about this. Up until December of 2007, most on Edwards' staff didn't believe rumors about the affair.

But by late December, early January of last year, several people in his inner circle began to think the rumors were true.

Several of them had gotten together and devised a "doomsday" strategy of sorts.

Basically, if it looked like Edwards was going to win the Democratic Party nomination, they were going to sabotage his campaign, several former Edwards' staffers have told me.

They said they were Democrats first, and if it looked like Edwards was going to become the nominee, they were going to bring down the campaign.

Scare Force 1 Photo Released

The controversial Air Force One flyover in New York City has been released following several Freedom of Information Act inquiry’s.  Rather then using photo shop or another program, the Obama Administration thought it would replace the old AF1 Photo over Mount Rushmore with a 328,000 a low level Fly Over with the Statue of Liberty in the Background.  Several websites have duplicated this photo to show how easy it would be to do a photoshop version of the photo.

Here are your tax dollars at work

Late Friday personnel dump: Scare Force One staffer “resigns”

White House Military Office director Louis Caldera tendered his resignation this afternoon. The NY Daily News has the story.

Here’s the official review of the incident. It does not cover DoD or FAA involvement. The report says “Initial planning” began in “March 2009 or earlier” without specifying who exactly initiated the planning and why. Caldera blames “severe back muscle spasms” and his recent return from a trip to Mexico for his failure to read e-mail concerning the mission. Also: He had a grand total of two email accounts. You can’t expect a crony paper-pusher to keep track of all that! (Source: Michelle Malkin)

UGA Murder Suspect's body found in shallow grave

Photos

No footage found.

The body of triple murder suspect UGA Professor George Zinkhan was found nearly 1 mile from when his car was found last week. It appears he dug his own grave, covering himself before firing a single gun shot to the head.  Two hand guns were found on the scene.  An autopsy wil be performed to make positive identifiucation of the remains.

Zinkhan’s well-hidden body was discovered Saturday by cadaver dogs — an Australian shepherd and a German shepherd — at 9:50 a.m. Saturday. The civilian Alpha Search and Rescue Team was working woods beyond the initial search area. Zinkhan’s temporary grave was in thick woods about 1,000 yards from an elementary school and about a mile from where his red Jeep Liberty was recovered more than a week ago. Zinkhan’s home in Bogart in Clarke County is not far away.

VA Doctor Refuse Responibility for HIV infected patients

Photos

No footage found.

Here is food for thought for those who wish for a National Health care system run by the United States Government.  The Department of Veterans Affairs is a socialized health care modality that the Obama Administartion is concidering.

In this case, Tained Endoscopic equipment was not properly sterielized at 3 VA Medical Centers.  To date 5 have Tested Positive for HIV and 11 Have tested positive for hepititus.  Although 11,000 patients could have been subject to these dirty procedures, the VA, says that there is no way to prove that it was a Tanited medical equipment that caused these veterans to become positive.  While it is true that there is no definitive way to identify if the patients received HIV or HEP from the equipment the VA has gone on a campaign to protect its interests. rather then the interest of its patients.

If this happened at a Provate medical facility, one could persue legal remadies due to negligents.  The VA is protected from such law suits.  This is what one has to look forward to in a Governemt Health Care system.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — A top doctor at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs says former patients who tested positive for HIV or hepatitis will not be able to show they were infected by tainted equipment at VA medical centers. storyPhotos();

Five patients have tested positive for HIV and 33 have tested positive for hepatitis since the VA started notifying more than 11,000 people treated at three VA medical centers in Miami, Augusta, Ga., and Tennessee that they may have been exposed to infectious body fluids after using endoscopic equipment that wasn't properly sterilized.

The blood tests are continuing. The agency has stressed that the positive results for the diseases may not have come from hospital mistakes.

The VA's chief patient safety officer, Dr. Jim Bagian, said he doesn't think anyone will ever know.

President Obama has Gibbs, Revise, Revise, Revise Again

Press Gaggle Aboard Air Force One

Posted: 22 Apr 2009 10:52 AM PDT

Here's an excerpt from the press gaggle aboard Air Force One earlier today as the President was en route to an Earth Day event in Iowa. Gibbs was once again peppered with questions about Obama's statement yesterday opening the door to a commission to prosecute Bush administration officials over devising interrrogation procedures:

Q    Any clarity from yesterday on the President's position on torture memos, and any reaction to Dennis Blair's memo that appeared in papers today?

MR. GIBBS:  Well, on the first question, what exactly -- what clarity are you looking for?

Q    We're looking -- you said you were going to talk to -- get back to us with clarity on the President's remarks.

MR. GIBBS:  Well, I think what -- maybe what I wasn't clear about yesterday and -- because what was said yesterday was exactly what the President has said for not just the past week, as we've dealt with these OLC memos, but for the past many months.  Let's just go through the whole sort of decision in general.

The President, at the beginning of his administration, banned the use of enhanced interrogation techniques because he believed they were -- they opposed our values and, on balance, they made the country less safe.  As part of an ongoing legal proceeding, the President released these memos because there was no legal justification for continuing to keep them classified; that a lot of the information that was contained in the memos, that the types of techniques were in the public domain.

So that is part of the backdrop of where we are.  The President also believes that the memos and their release should be a moment for us to reflect, but not a moment for retribution. The President, as he said yesterday, has a lot on his plate and he believes that our focus looking forward should be on the crises that we have in the bank industry, in unemployment, the financial sector, and as he and the Attorney General have said, that while no one is above the law, those that worked within the four corners of the legal advice they were given, and those that acted in good faith based on the advice they were provided should not be subject to interrogation.

That's what the President said -- that's what the President has said all along.

Q    Should not be subject to what?

MR. GIBBS:  Should not be subject to prosecution.

Q    The President said yesterday that he wanted to ensure that if there was any kind of investigation, politics were not part of the equation.  Given that, would he be supportive at some point appointing a special prosecutor to look into these Bush-era officials?

MR. GIBBS:  Well, look, I think this goes into the -- in some ways, the non-clarity of yesterday.  Let me use an example. If you go in the back of the plane, Air Force One, and spray-paint the walls and smoke in the bathroom, the President isn't going to determine whether you broke the law; a legal official is going to determine whether you broke the law.  That's the determination that will be made in any instance whereby anybody knowingly breaks the law.

Q    But due to the fact that his AG, Eric Holder, is a political appointee, would it not be less political to have a prosecutor to look into these issues?

MR. GIBBS:  I think that the lawyers that are involved are plenty capable of determining whether any law has been broken.  I want to stress that that determination is not going to be made by the President, or the Vice President, or anybody that works in the White House, because that's why many, many, many, many moons ago we created a Department of Justice.

India probes dispute over 'Slumdog' child star

Photos

No footage found.

Barry Artiste Op/Ed

Isn't it refreshing to see a parent making money of the backs of their nine year old child actress daughter, looking to sell their child into sexual slavery to a reporter posing as an Arab Shiek,  Yep, what a wonderful world we live in.

I say if this is true, they should Hang the Bastard by his Nuts!  But then, in Mumbai it is a Man's world so one can be sure it is all just a quaint cultural misunderstanding!

India probes dispute over 'Slumdog' child starMUMBAI, India - Indian police are investigating claims and counterclaims by the parents of a child star in "Slumdog Millionaire" after a British tabloid alleged the father tried to sell the nine-year-old girl to an undercover reporter.
The accusations further complicated the lives of the families of the slum-dwelling child stars, who have come under intense scrutiny since the movie skyrocketed to Oscar-winning fame and grossed more than $300 million worldwide.
Khurshid Begum, the estranged mother of "Slumdog Millionaire" star Rubina Ali, filed a complaint with Mumbai police on Sunday after News of the World reported that the father planned to put her up for adoption. The British newspaper said the deal was allegedly offered to one of its reporters posing as a sheik from the Mideast.

Thousands expected to light up outside Vancouver library for Pot

Barry Artiste Op/Ed
Well this is sure to be an event, during this election, one wonders which or how many politicians will show, looking too suck up some votes from the potheads, not that any would remember which Politician they met through their Smoke filled Glasses.  And we wonder about all the Marijuana related shootings and killings our Politicians spout about when stating we have a handle on Crime and we are doing our best to stop it.  Yep, I can see that! Can you?

Wonder what would have happen during this POT FEST, of a lone cigarette smoker happen to pass by too close to a public building in contravention of our City Bylaws?  I tell you what would happen, Swat would be upon him and charge him $100.00 for endangering the Public Health, all within rock throwing distance of thousands of Pot Smokers the Public Library, funny they wont suffer a similar fate, all because they are not smoking a cigarette.

Last year the smoke was so thick it could be seen a block away and the acrid smoke could be smelled blocks away, one would think with the unemployment rampant in the city, they would be out looking for a job cause they are outraged they cannot find a job, but then when I watched them Prancing and Singing last year, who would hire them?

In ending, it is nice to Hypocrisy Rules in a city of Politicians who clearly have no clue in how to lay down the law, except for the lone cigarette smoker watching all this .

Rep. Schakowsky (D-IL) Calls Parties "Despicable' and "Shameful"

By Albert N. Milliron, Editor Politisite.com

Seems like the working Talking point to diminish the impact of the nearly 500,000 who participated in the Tax Day Tea Parties is to call the movement an Astro-Turf (Fake Grassroots) event. Nancy Pelosi related this to reporters. She stated the tea party events are being funded by BIG Business and New Corp. Anyone who has been close to the city Planners is well aware that there was no funding form outside sources and gathering permits, obtaining insurance, and providing equipment were left up to the volunteers at the local level. There has been no evidence presented that large corporations have funded any of the Tea Party Events.

The other talking point appears to be to call the participants uneducated and misinformed by those who would benefit by big business legislation. In addition some congressman are saying that these tax day parties are a direct attack on the Obama administration. Most of the tea party footage that is available shows that the participants are upset with congress as a whole and how government is involved in the free market system.

While Protesters in left wing groups get dismissed for violent acts because they're ideology is in agreement with the left leaning Main Stream Media, The Tea parties are being called, "despicable and Shameful". Interestingly enough out of the 304 tea parties that data is available for there was one arrest. Despicable and Shameful indeed.

Schakowsky Statement on 'Tax Day Tea Parties'

CHICAGO, IL (April 15, 2009) – Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-IL, released the following statement in response to “tea parties” being held on Tax Day. “The ‘tea parties’ being held today by groups of right-wing activists, and fueled by FOX News Channel, are an effort to mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates 3.5 million jobs.

It’s despicable that right-wing Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant, honorable moment of American history with a shameful political stunt. Not a single American household or business will be taxed at a higher rate this year. Made to look like a grassroots uprising, this is an Obama bashing party promoted by corporate interests, as well as Republican lobbyists and politicians.”
